So I had an interview today with another temp agency downtown, and decided to walk home.

This would have been fine (it was only about 4 1/2 miles), except that it got really warm (I was wearing a shirt and tie and my jacket) and I was wearing dress shoes.

I took a break about 1/4 of the way to stop by Boyband’s studio to say hi, but then it was a long walk home. By the time i got to Sheffield and Lincoln, my ass was dragging and my right foot was killing me.

So while I burned some good calories, I’ve got a nice blister on my right foot to remember it by. Blech.

  1. no pain, no gain? (don’t listen to me, I’m still in pajama like clothes and am taking a break from brining in packages from the front porch.)

  2. but how was the interview??

  3. It went well. I did well on their tests (Word, Excel, etc) and they said they could pretty much put me anywhere, so they will call me as soon as they have something.

Also, the woman gave me the contact info for another temp place that does a lot of IT work – I sent them my resume and got this reply almost immediately (it was a CC that the guy sent to a colleague of his there):

Please follow up with Matt when you are back in the office and if we have an opening let’s move him through the process quickly. If we are not able to move on anything directly, please have him entered into our system and let’s let him know we have nothing now but will have one of our folks follow up with when a role develops.

  5. Sweet! I hope you get a job really soon! I have had nothing but phenomenal success with temp agencies. My job is the bestest job ever and I scored it through an agency.
