Circus of the Stars

Why does this show no longer exist?

What do we have to do to get an updated Circus of the Stars?

Come on people…you’re with me on this, right?

Britney on the high wire.

Tobey training lions.

The Queer Eye guys doing a trapeze act.

It’s gold, Jerry! GOLD!

  1. Teehee!

  2. we still have it. it’s just now called “celebrity fear factor,” “celebrity mole,” “the surreal life,” etc. and the live show is called a “concert.”

i’m not disagreeing with you, though. i bet owen and luke wilson could throw down a mad trapeze act.

  3. I think I’d rather see Britney in with the lions…

  5. See that’s just it.

    It’s not quite the same.

The beautiful thing about Circus of the Stars is that it was campy…and it KNEW it was campy.

I think the celeb reality shows take themselves too seriously.

Plus, they don’t have a celebrity ringmaster. I think that the ringmaster of Circus of the Stars 2004 should be Michael Ian Black.

  6. I’d much prefer a real return of Battle of the Network Stars, if for no other reason than to see Jennifer Garner kicking Ray Romano’s ass in the tug-of-war.

  7. I was inspired to post this after seeing Battle of the Network Stars mentioned on I Love the 70’s – it was one of my favorites.

I believe Hal Sparks suggested Ray Romano would rock on an updated version too. I knew it! You’re actually Hal Sparks!

  8. Haha! I hadn’t seen that one, I don’t think. Hal Sparks is one funny mofo though.

  9. There will probably never be a Battle Of The Network Stars, unless NBC ends up buying CBS, ABC, and FOX or unless they find a way to air the show on all the networks.

The business is too cutthroat now. One network will not lease it’s stars to a show if it’s going to air on a rival network.

Plus nowadays, most of the “Network stars” are the reality show flavor of the month. Not like the 70’s version.

  11. Chiro wasn’t the flavor of the month?
