iPod

So with my new Mini, I only have 4 GB of space on my iPod.

My music library is many many times the size of that. No problem. I have the iPod set to sync a random selection of size 4 GB.

So I’m sitting here listening to my iPod and work, and wondering how my iPod managed to find the 4 GB of music in my libary that is absolute CRAP.

  1. That’s what ratings are for. Well, that and unchecking the crap. 😀

  3. Maybe you need to teach the iPod how to be an indie rock snob.

  4. Why didn’t you get the 20GB or 40GB full version? Would that fit all of it?

Who am I to know though…I only have a measly 450 songs on my iTunes and I don’t even have an iPod.

All I want for christmas gifts this year is gift certificates to the apple store so I can get one. They are too cool.

  5. The 40 GB would have fit it all, but I got the Mini due to physical size. I like it smaller.

The problem isn’t that my whole libary doesn’t fit. It’s that for some reason today, my iPod decided to only play the crappy songs 🙂

  7. Time to weed out the collection a bit then?

  8. I’ve got all my music on my 40g, but I had to downsize everything to get it to fit. I am such a music whore. Similar to your problem, I find It surprising how many crap songs it can find in a row on shuffle. C’mon, iPod, you have something close to 30 Beatles CDs on you, why are you only playing crap?

Does yours stop songs before they’re over? Mine somewhat regularly skips the last 5-10 seconds of a song and moves on to the next. I keep meaning to look into what’s up with that, but I just haven’t gotten around to it.
