Dumb bleacher fans

It really annoys me when a Cubs fan catches an opposing team’s home run, and then, when he goes to throw it back (as it proper), he switches it with another ball, so that he can keep the souvenir.

That’s just wrong. The point is, throw the ORIGINAL ball back. You shouldn’t WANT that souvenir. It is a trophy of the OTHER TEAM scoring against the Cubs.

  2. I always wondered if it is truly a “supposed to do” thing, or per the sox, give the ball to a child nearby if you don’t want it.

  3. When you go into the bleachers, there are several signs that post the “rules”, which include (besides the “no ties!”) “home run balls from visiting team must be thrown back”.
