According to the Sun-Times:

JP Morgan Chase announced it will move one-third of its support staff and back office jobs overseas by the end of 2007.

  16. It’s hard to say. I just heard some gossip that my group will be absorbed into the line of business as of January 1, which will provide us with a LOT of protection from this kind of thing.

  18. Well, the gossip I just heard is that we’ll be absorbed into the LOB as of Jan 1. I haven’t heard that officially yet, but I got it from someone who tends to know these things (and has a big mouth). That should offer some substantial protection from offshoring, etc (not to mention better bonus pools, etc).

    Here’s hoping.
