I don’t deal well with change

So at lunch today, I got some sad news.

The Atrium restaurant is closing its doors a week from Friday.

I’ve been going to the Atrium for lunch for about eight years. Hell, when we first started going, it wasn’t even called “The Atrium”, it was the “West Egg”. We are there for lunch at least once a week.

It’s going to be sad to see it go. I think we’re pretty much planning on going there almost every day this week and next. And you’d better believe we will be having lunch there on Friday, March 30.

  1. I just saw this. I had actually heard good things about that place, and was thinking of trying it out after we move to our new building (which will be sometimes next month, we hope), since it is less than 2 blocks from there. I feel like I’ve missed something now (maybe I will actually walk down there next week if I’m not too busy…)

    How sad for you đŸ˜¦

  2. Well, once you do end up in your new building, if you need lunch suggestions, let me know. I’ve been working in this corner of the Loop for almost ten years. Of course, as my lunch blog would suggest, we always tend to go to the same places.

  3. We are supposed to move April 13th. The building is 550 W. Jackson.

I’d love some lunch suggestions đŸ™‚
