Systems Engineer – Corporate Services

Job Description
  • Be an integral member of a team of Microsoft systems engineers supporting systems providing an array of critical business services.
  • Primary responsibility for troubleshooting issues in the Microsoft environment
  • Participate in security and growth initiatives that relate to the corporate Microsoft environment
  • Manage system enhancement and operative improvement projects and tasks.
  • Operation and enhancement of Active Directory, Sharepoint, Rightfax, archiving, and other associated/3rd party applications and services.
  • Operation and enhancement of monitoring solutions
Required Skills
  • Ability to administer hardware and MS Windows operating systems.
  • Scripting abilities in a MS Windows environment.
  • Aggressive desire to learn new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex troubleshooting issues.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Understanding of Backup and Storage infrastructures.
  • General use of MS Office Suite including Visio.
Required Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Management, or a related field, or comensurate experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in IT
  • 3+ years of Microsoft engineering experience, MCSE preferred
  •  Experience with Windows 2000 & 2003 server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS Cluster technology, Sharepoint, MS SMS, HTML and ASP.
  • Solid knowledge of core services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, file structures, IP addressing.
